Event contracts.
A Kalshi contract pays a dollar if something happens. Bookie asks whether its price is wrong often enough to pay the fee, holds every rule to settled markets it never saw, and bets only what survives — which so far is nothing, so it has bet nothing. Augur sits beside it and cannot bet at all: it says how likely, from a source better placed to know than the crowd, and keeps score against the price. This is a stream by design and not yet by revenue, and this page will say when that changes. The sibling desk is equities.
Bookie runs hourly against Kalshi with its evidence gate on. It studied 45,562 settled weather markets and tested five rules on held-out data. None survived correction; the nearest miss earned 0.21 percent a bet at p equals 0.81. It has placed no bets.
Augur forecasts Kalshi contracts hourly and holds no trading key. It rebuilt 356,600 historical weather forecasts from archived model runs and reproduced all of about 39,000 settled markets from official climate reports. Its forecasts are well calibrated, but betting against the market on them lost money on early data, except for one narrow case that Bookie will test once on held-out markets.
